Choosing Colonist Pops
I'm certain this used to be a thing. I've now got a refugee species as well as robots kicking around in my current game but I am never given the option to choose what sort of Pop will be on my Colony ships, its always just my main species.

I can't imagine they'd of removed the functionality because it was really fun, so what am I missing?

Refugee species doesn't have colonization permission probably.

I think there's a species rights setting that allows or disallows settling. Can't remember offhand. I know for sure you need droids and/or synthetics in order to settle with robots.

The refugees have full citizen rights, only thing it can think of now is the stellar culture shock perhaps? Although that doesn't mention that as one of the draw backs. As for robots, thanks for clearing that up.

Thanks for the speedy replies.

Just to be sure, they have colonization rights, right? https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/Species_rights
'Colonization allowed'

If so, yeah probably stellar shock. Just found it - yeah it's stellar shock - 'Culture shock locks out using the pops for colony ships, them joining Factions, and is applied to every existing pop.'

Yeah Colonisation is allowed. So definitely stellar shock. Thanks for the help =)

Can confirm, now works since the stellar shock wore off.
