Best map size
I think this game have some performance issue, I read about it. I am currently playing on the largest map possible. I have like the 2nd biggest empire in the game.

My game plays on 30-40fps. I can't access the slave market as I have like 30 plus planets in my empire and u can imagine if all the planets are over 100 pops, 6000+ pops to be exact.

I am like in 2580, still 400+ years to go till the game ends

Oh god. I can't imagine having my victory set out at 3000...

I swing between 600 and 800 stars, and bring that victory year in by 500 years minimum.

You have another 2 games' worth of time left in what will likey amount to minor squabbles, violent formalities and waiting before this one "ends." My advice, get to where you feel comfortable saying you won and call it there.

The largest map size this game should even have as an option is the 600 star medium map...also don't get too crazy with the planet slider when starting a new game. I leave mine at 1.0 though I did try it a few notches higher my last game and it was still OK...I don't think I will do it again though.

I'd like to try one of the larger maps, but I don't want to deal with the micromanagement, never mind risking a performance issue (that I haven't run into on medium or smaller map). In fact, my last game was the first time I got to year 2500 in a medium galaxy. However, I think I'm going back to small.

It was my first time playing, I was playing as my Anartican Empire, we are slave guilds and xenos
