Maimed 271 year old scientist who does't die
pretty funny. he has 256% chance to die each month. has Maimed -40 years trait that should make him die faster, but he has turned importal somehow.. seams bugged.
Playing race Khennet.

Guess they found the secret to immortality without being a synth or chosen one XD
It's a bug. If a leader manages to get a death chance greater than 100% then they don't ever die. It isn't specifically related to the maimed trait, but the archaeology site that earned him that trait took him away for a while and then returned him maimed. He was probably close to dying naturally before that happened, and when he came back maimed he was probably over 100% and thus effectively immortal. It is probably just a math error in the code that handles the death chances, and so probably easy to fix. It might be fixed any time now, or never, depending on when Paradox gets around to it.

He's just good at his job.

One of the reasons to get into science is to laugh in the face of death. He's succeeded where most have failed.

pretty lame excuse for not telling us that he just found the holy grail in that archeology site.

im pretty sure scientists just pocket stuff into their private collection during digsites.. you find a whole planet wide city of lost civilisation but you tell me that we found only 20 artifacts during the entire dig? Nah. "sell to private collectors" basically means your scientists are hoarding stuff up.
