Mouse Screen Capture and Edge Scrolling

Just started playing Stellaris. Already hit two snags.

1. The mouse is not captured to the game screen. I've tried both full screen and borderless windowed mode. As well as disabling all overlays such as Discord and Steam.

2. Edge scrolling. It would be great to be able to disable this. The navigation bar on the left is relatively thin so the smallest overshoot with the mouse pointer sends your camera flying leftwards.

I've done some searching with Google and Steam Discussions about these things. All I can find are old discussions from years ago with no solutions. Any solutions found since then?

I managed to lock cursor with a third party program found here.

Still, it would be nice to do this natively.

I also found this mod which disables edge scrolling.

I could just delete this post, but I'm going to leave it up in hopes that it can and will be found by anybody else that has the same issues.
