New Paradox-Forum

Similar to Stellaris, the old forum had got an update yesterday, but without DLC ( yet ). And ? 01. Are you satisfied ? 02. Is the new one more completed, fixed and optimised than the old one ? 03. Hadn't Paradox touched what wasn't actually broken, but had addressed long-standing issues instead ? 04. Have you spotted any actual improvements instead of just changes for the sake of them or / and as "proofs" for "hard" work ( Plot-Twist: Rather ****** and cheap activities ) towards the community ?

My answers: 01. / 02. / 03. / 04.: NO !

My personal plot-twist: If any the new forum looks even more like a pure marketing-platform ( for Paradox ) and I'm also guessing that it's ( now ) more cheaper to maintain ( for them ) as well.

Paradox is present on Steam, they distribute their games through Steam and they open up threads ( mostly dd(s) ) which are linked to their own forum ) within Steam as well. That's the connection.

I try to figure out a pattern in the behaviour of Paradox. I thought that Paradox couldn't do any more **** after they've released the new launcher and insisted to go ahead with the new mobile, but copy-right-issue-version of Stellaris, but oh boy ...

01. As long as Paradox continues to "support" a game ( and its DLCs ) I own myself I won't go away and avoid them ( including the respective forum(s)).
02. As long as Paradox continues to do dubious stuff ( that affects games I own myself ) I will continue to criticize.

The official forum is the primary marketing- ... äh sorry communication-platform between Paradox and their most dedicated players. Feedback, suggestions, bug-reports etc. pp. don't impact the game at all, right ? The respective Steam-forum is just the extended arm in regards to this. And I've the pretty grounded suspicion that players who're lurking around in this Steam-forum are maybe, just maybe also present in the official Paradox-forum as well.

I don't go to the official forums except to read full patch notes.
I won't bother going there to check, but whatever layout changes they made doesn't change people's feedback about what really matters: game feedback.

Well, I actually went and checked the new layout. Everything looks pretty much the same for my untrained eye. What long standing issues can there be in a forum board, that need to be "optimised and completed"? It's a TEXT BOARD. You need poster names, quoting tools, and a search bar, that's all you need.

The new look of the official forum seems to be a step back for pc users. It might be better for mobile users, don't know I don't use a phone to read a forum.
