Point of Hegemony Centralization Level Very High
Whats the point of centralization level very high in a hegemony? Currently I am at federation level 4 and have passed all laws possible. I can't see any additional laws that will be unlocked at federation level 5 with very high centralization. So why would you do it since it costs cohesion?

Just Googled this too, any answers?
I can't think of any reason to increase centralization level except to unlock a law that you wanted to pass, so in the case of max centralization not unlocking any new laws you presumably would not want to do it.

Its in a way a bit of a benefit not needing to upgrade to the final level. It means you get access to all the laws sooner and you can maintain full power at a lower cohesion cost.

The last level does still give some extra perks.

The federation level up yes. The centralization is not necessary to get those though.

Hasn't this been out for years? The devs didn't think to put in any reason to upgrade to 'very high'? Literally all you get is less cohesion, all of the laws are already unlocked.

The federation dlc that reworked federations and added this mechanic was released "10 april 2020". So no, while this issue has been around for some time it has not been around for years.

That said, very high is indeed completely useless for hegemonies at this point in time and it is a tad surprising that they haven't changed anything about it thus far (like changing one of the rules to require it or grey'ing out the very high option for hegemonies or adding some sort of bonus to it).

I'll say it again. Not needing it IS A BONUS.
