No steam cloud save on Ironman mode?

I started an ironman game on my laptop, but was hoping to continue the game on my desktop. Within the saves menu, the save says it is not uploaded to steam cloud, even though steam cloud syncronization is enabled and I have other, non-ironman, games stored in the cloud. The Stellaris wiki says steam cloud should work for ironman saves. Did they change this at some point? is there anyway to transfer the save between computers without breaking it or deactivating achievements?

no, it just wont upload no matter what. is there a button I have to press on the save? I dont remember having to do that before..

No button, it's automatic. I play iron man all the time between my pc and laptop.

Just ran into this. Turn on upload auto saves to cloud in game settings.

I wish I knew about all this before leaving home with my laptop for 2 weeks.
