No cure for day tick lag not paused correct?
I mean it's not a huge deal, the type of game this is but I've seen that possibly the game never had this issue?
Unless someone knows of some magic trick to get rid of it,
For those who may not know what I'm talking about, there is a slight pause every time a day turns that creates a notable stutter when moving the map, not on pause

Since you getting stutters on every single day you will have to run the game on lower galaxy settings. Lower habitable planets, lower galaxy size and an earlier end date can help. The current set of patches has made it decently better on a daily basis but with a large hit at the end of the month. Before it was quite slow every day of the game once you got to end game.

If you are experiencing this stutter in the early game then you may have either a resource problem or performance problem.

Is hardly noticable. Very quick but it's there.
I have more than capable hardware except...
Does this game have issues with Ryzen

Unless its old graphics or one with low VRAM you are much more likely to be CPU Blocked. The total speed of your primary core is quite important in stellaris. The game is noted for slowdown as the game gets more and more pop entities in the late game.

Set affinity different maybe?
Win10

From what I can see this issue has always been around and effects everyone, due to the engine. This is the day stutter, it's like a less than a quarter second hang (if even that), most noticeable on the fastest setting - when moving the map around.
Unless anyone has any better ideas? I messed with affinity, played around with all graphics settings max and low, small or large galaxy same issue
It really doesn't bother me too much, although when it comes to my PC if I can make apps perform better, I generally do. More of an OCD thing I suppose it doesn't make it unplayable for me.

Try again with the new patch that was released today. Also try to reduce the number of wormholes and gates in the set up of the game.

Tried what you just said and everything else.
Small galaxy, minimum everything, changed CPU affinity, turned various settings on and off, no change
All I can see online is that this has been a persistent bug for a long time
Some people don't notice it - but it's there
Basically Turn the game up to fastest speed, go to Galaxy Map and move the map around WASD
There's like a few nanosecond pause every time a day passes. So when moving map around, seems to "skip" ever so slightly
Like I said in previous, definately not game breaking or anything like that, although it would be nice if there was an actual solution.
I couldn't find anything online and seems people have been complaining about this for the past 2 years

I just started my first game- bought the game an hour ago. Paused it's liquid smooth, as soon as I unpause and move the camera around, it stutters every half second. Some people may not notice it but it's definitely there.

If things are changing daily, the possible view of the map may change each day, hence the re-draw micro stutter on day tick-over. It's just the way the game engine works, and sadly it does not go as fast as what CPUs can go.

Yeah I'm going to choose to ignore it. Also note, most of the map moving it seems will be done when you're on pause anyway. Doesn't seem to be a great idea to let game run on fastest while managing your empire

Note the micro pause happens when a day turns over every time

Mostly now I'm upset because I was an idiot and paid 40 bucks for the base game and now game and dlc are on sale for like 20 bucks or something

this have been there for years.. I stopped playing because it was too much for my liking, and to my knowledge it weren't there with the earlier versions of the game.
Been posting on forums where other have complained about this problem, but no response.
some can ignore lag some can't and I am part of the last group. :)

I hadn't this problem before 3.0, but it is present for me aswell now. They will probably fix this soon enough, since the patch just came out, but only time will tell.

I have over 1k hours in this game now I believe and you really don't want to be managing while the game is running fast anyway. Usually all of that is done on pause and running on fastest is for break between pauses, especially on the harder difficulties
