After synth ascension, option to produce organices

Im trying to play a tall game and after getting the synthetic ascension, i find myself wanting to have a planet that can produce organics taht I can later turn into synths. changing the rights of a species to elimination seems to not make them available to grow in planets anymore. Is there a way?

Your not meant to. You already gain tons of replicator jobs, having organic growth as well is a little double dipping.

You can still use those organics,a pop is a pop
This makes synth ascension extremely op,on top of their synth bonus

i have done this before, you just need so many pops on one planet you won't finish the assimilation in 10 years so you can change your laws back

Thank you all for taking time. In my play and experimentaiton, I think Archaon's answer is the workaround since as long as there are organics in the process of assimilation, you can grow ANY oprganics in your planets, as long as you don't end up assimilating them all before new ones are grown
