Is it worth building Juggernauts?
Is it worth it or is it just pretty much a vanity project?

they can be useful for reinforcements, but they're very slow so to me they feel more like a vanity project

they are useless, too slow and not much reinforcementn power. it's a lot quicker just to build the reinforcements and make them go to their Fleet.
If you use the juggernaut you have to protect it so it'll slow down your fleet a lot.

Can be usefull to help reinforce a systeme station it has 30k Power it can help a defense station take out a fleet. other than that it's very much useless
The purpose of a Juggernaut is to allow your fleet(s) to repair and reinforce far from your home territory. If you are fighting close to home territory then you may not find it very useful.

It is possible to repair at star bases you have captured, so depending on circumstances the ability to repair at the Juggernaut may not be critical to your success.

It is also possible to reinforce your fleets from your home shipyards, but depending on the distance to your fleet it may take them a while to arrive. Having a Juggernaut close to your fleet might mean that those reinforcements arrive sooner, and so be able to make a difference in a battle in which reinforcements traveling from farther away would not have been able to participate. So again, circumstances will determine how useful the Juggernaut is to your war effort.

The slow speed can be inconvenient, but with some planning you may be able to mitigate that disadvantage. For example, fleets can head out and engage the enemy, then fall back to the Juggernaut to renew themselves before the next engagement. In this way your fleets will not be limited to the speed of the Juggernaut; at least, not as much as if they were waiting for it to arrive at a target before attacking it. This works best if you are attacking multiple targets simultaneously with different fleets; if your strategy is to group all of your fleets together and fight as one then that technique might be more difficult and the Juggernaut might be more of a hindrance than a help.

You can reinforce from AI shipyards you capture, they usually have a bunch spread around their empire. There is no practical use for the Juggernaut, this was kind of obvious as soon as it was announced, it's just a "cool" thing to play around with, like most of the megastructure nonsense.

They need to fix being able to use AI shipyards.

I'm playing in the beta and I think they did

Why wouldn't you be able to use enemy shipyards that you captured? They don't disappear after the war in systems you captured. It's basic tactics to use your enemies supplies against them.
Mods make everything better in Stellaris, and the Juggernaut is no exception.

They come with some pretty huge fleet buffs, sorta like how titans do. I can see the 40% range boost being extremely powerful for getting off first shot with XL weaponry.

I guess this works if you're using total war. I've never observed this outside of total war.

I usually just set the juggernaut to follow one of my fleets and forget about it unless I need to repair and there isn't an occupied starbase nearby. It does shave a couple hundred days off on larger galaxies for reinforcements to show up when replacing the odd ship loss. The most notable instance of when a juggernaut is useful is against crisis since they don't leave behind occupied starbases.

I usually keep it with the collosas since it's slow, while the rest of my fleet will clear out stations and fleets the juggernaut provides reinvorcements and support for the collosus while it does its dirty work.

As fleets pave a way through stations I just have the collosus and juggernaut use jump drives to hop around where they are needed while they stay in a relatively safe area of enemy territory.

When the crisis comes I try to keep them all together so I can get the buffs it provides for my entire armada.
