how to change trade routes?

is there a way to change trade routes? I tried to click on some of the trade route arrows in trade mode (which should be the most intuitive way to change a route) but no response.

Iirc, you left click on the starbase where the route should begin and then right click on the starbase where it should end. Doing this with an existing trade route should delete it.
This is while you are in 'trade mode'.

with trade map mode open click a starbase and right click where it's going(probably the capital starbase) then right click it to the starbase you want it to go to. it'll take the shortest route between the two. if you want it to avoid a specific system you have to forbid it but i believe you can't own a system to forbid it.

thanks for the tipps. my problem is that the game automatically route the trade route through an void spawn system which blocks 100% and which leads that no trade from half of my empire does not go to my capital station. IMO the trade route system is nice but to much to micromanage and not very intuitive.

in system down by the name there's a little "forbid travel" button. this will change the trade route

Guys but what we take with the trade route? in the system where are the ring icon create trade hub and the route but cannot understand what get for do this

Starbases collect trade value from planets/systems and funnel it along trade routes to your capital planet. Depending on your trade policy it gets converted to energy, energy + consumer goods or energy + unity.

I'm working on one for War and one for Ship Building. Yep!

From seeing some youtube channels it does look like some people are also getting value out of the imagination/ self storytelling aspect. Setting yourself challenges or role playing empires, rather than just command and conquer. Like Minecraft - some basics that you build time and time again but your own narration can help too.

Hi Meewec, I've tried connecting a neighbouring trade hub to my capital, and nothing happened. I've tried clicking right-mouse on the white bubble of my capital's trade hub. If it helps, after a certain mid-game event I had an AI-rebellion surrounding my capital and inner colonies which wrecked my trade routes big time. After the event ended, I've been trying to connect the trade routes into one another, it did not help.

is it within collection range of your capital's trade hub?
