Thoughts on the Juggernaut
A mobile starbase with the fleet power of a citadel? Sounds awesome but how should be used? is useful? and what bugs does it have? I am curious to see what peoples thought and experiences are about this latest addition to the fleets in Stellaris

Juggernaut was one of the major selling points for me on the latest DLC and as soon as I launched the game I set out to build one. the first war I fought with it it saved my fleet from being destroyed when it got cut of from allied territory because it could replace my loses and repair and upgrade my fleets deep in enemy territory. But later in the game it's slow speed meant it was always left behind and was never pf any use in combat because it simply wasn't there when my fleets were.
It's also bugger, everytime I reload a game where I had built on the juggernaut gets deleted and I have to build a new one.

I've read reports of the new Juggs being buggy with things ranging from 'ship vanishes' to 'my 100k fleet was just destroyed'. Sounds like we should be getting a bug fix update soon
super useful, because you can reinforce deep in enemy territory even if there no black holes or gateways.

Not needed for defensive wars I suppose.

Already there, in the 2.6.2 hotfix. Might need to opt into "stellaris_test" beta branch tho not sure if it's deployed live or only for test opt-in.

Yep. I just came here after my juggernaut vanished. Good to know iI wasted all those alloys for a temporary ship.

I've found the juggernaut to be only particularly useful when set outside of the main combat Using it to reinforce my constant Corvette/Destroyer casualties in the next node. Late game vs other large fleets the juggernaut just gets instantly popped which is a large waste of time/resources.

Maybe useful in the earlier game, or when you have a massive advantage already where the juggernaut hardly seems useful anyways.

1) Too slow

2) A few more battleships would be more useful since the juggernaut is a temporary ship lol

3) Takes long to build after it disappears because of the bug

4) Honestly I just don't like it because it's way slower than the rest of my fleets

Im fine with the colossus being slow because it's not something you use for battle but the juggeranut is supposed to fight not only reinforce from very far away...

5) It looks cool tho so I'd say its worth it overall

Love that list with your 5) finisher !! :)

On my end, I agree it is really slow, but I do not mind it lagging a bit behind as long as I understand where all enemy fleets are. It still make the reinforcement faster.

And yes, it does look cool :)
