how to convince/trade a system?
one of my allies decided to inhabit some yet unclaimed systems in my area and i have no idea how i appese him enough to get them back

you don't the ai almost never trades systems

If you aren't on ironman mode, you could click the starbase and go to the console and type "own".

i dont know whats more frustrating, the fact that its tempting, or the fact the actual action of transfering systems with AI is impossible or nearly impossible

I consider all diplomacy with AI to be pointless, in every game that has it. Ally, enemy, it's still going to be a moron.
