Lag in planet view.

Hello, as stated in the title, I am experiencing intense lag whenever I click on a planet to view it. Otherwise there is no significant performance issues in the late game. Has anyone else experienced this and know of any solutions? The lag is making it nearly impossible to manage the various planets in my republic.

The overall consensus seems to be too many open jobs on the planet; check the population tab. If this is true, demolish or shut down appropriate buildings; or resettle pops onto the planet if possible. Don't build too many things at once.
I learnt that the hard way, too.

i just started a game and am having this problem. there is 0 available jobs with 28 pop. not building anything and am getting lag.

any solutions?

yes but i dont see what mods could be doing it. i mostly just have stuff like weapons, more technology, real space and planet diversity. a few traits, more flags lol. dont make much sense to me

i also get heavy lag spikes when talking to other species as well as in the government tab
