Shard Warning
So, it seems paradox got tired of people ignoring the rubricator dig site until later on. Shard will now cleanse the planet when she spawns.

yeah, there went a good nearly 70 pop science world

If you have a fleet in the system when she spawns, she should need to battle your fleet first before she starts snacking on your pops.
Heck, she sould atleast even need to defeat your starbase! :\

Yes this is true and can't be avoided with fleet etc.

I said "she SHOULD need to fight your fleet first".
and maybe even have her needing to "bombard" the planet, where she slowly eats all the pops

They should just put a 0 habitability debuff onto the world until the event chain is complete.
Khameleon Mar 20, 2020 @ 2:59am
You can put away all pops to your other worlds before the event and then get them back after killing dragon)

yeah, but this was the first time encountering her again in the last few months so i didn't know it was coming. luckily i'd just finished a war and had a bunch of unemployed pops i could just move over.

I didn't know they did that till I got the event and lost the planet... damn

What event is this? I just returned for the new dlc and didn't encounter this yet.

Good to know. I'll just ignore the dig site forever now. Free early relic world is a lot better than +20 society research. Maybe if relics didn't have a shared cooldown it would be something I would care about.

Rubricator. It's from the Ancient Relics DLC, you get the event like every single game fairly early on, leads you to a relic world with a dig site on it in a system spawned by the event (which still causes the game to hang for a couple seconds).

Ah, I probably just didn't excavate it yet and still have only one planet :D (See my thread in the forum about buildings and districts) I just started excavating all the delicious sites ^^ But good to know.
