Conquest Casus Belli?
Hey, I want my neighbours systems.

To get a conquest casus belli the game claims I need to claim some systems. Last I checked I had 8 of them claimed, and I regularly claim new ones, yet I never get a conquest casus belli.

I have unrestricted wars and am most certainly not a pacifist.

Is it bugged, or am I missing some mechanic hidden outside the diplomacy UI?

What for?

I have multiple claimed systems

Conquest casus belli is greyed out, despite the explanation.

Managed to declare a humiliate war however.

We are unconvinced this isn't a user error, and trying to help you figure out where the restriction is.

Maybe you've selected the claims but didn't actually pay them.

Verifying didnt help.

- I have claims paid for, even displayed in declare war-screen
- I dont have a conques casus belli according to the declare war-screen
- The declare war screen says I need to make claims to get the conquest casus belli
- I make more claims
- I don't get a conquest casus belli

Can't make a screenshot atm, because apparently my federation allies managed to start a war through their conquest claims. So I got my war, but I still dont understand why I couldnt do it.

What I am asking is if there's some other mechanic which the game doesnt tell me about at the appropriate screen.

From what you're saying, don't seem like it, is your target a vassal maybe?

I can't declare war on either of the 2 remaining empires (they are allied).
I have claims against both of them. I also couldn't declare war against the enemy I just defeated - my federation ally was able to though.

I was able to Humiliate but still not Conquest from End rivalry and then redoing it..
Adding new claims didn't help.

You do know there is a 10 year peace deal added on at the end of every war preventing you from declaring on someone until it is over, yes?

That prevents clicking the Declare War button though, in my experience. Not greying out the Casus Belli-options.

Yes, it's clearly a bug of some sort. My ally declared war on them soon after - and once we got to peace again (after the 10 years) I can now declare war against them.. Oh well. Game is over anyway. Luckily my ally wanted to declare war as much as I did.

Any chance your claims weren't adjacent to your existing territory?
gQuigs Mar 21, 2020 @ 8:17am
I did have some claims deep into their territory - bu I also had at least 2 that were directly next to me.
