Just finished a game with this Origin. Now normally I used Tomb World. But I wanted to give this new thing a try. Now don't get me wrong, the story was cool to read...but it ends kinda Womp Womp....
I would have liked to have seen it linked to the grander end game somehow.
The bonuses you get are kinda underwhelming compared to other origins. I know they aren't ment to be balanced, and this does make for kinda a fun RP origin. But Im probably gonna stick to Post Apoc after this,

though I do wanna try starting as a lost colony

So later on you get another set of story.
Where you find out what happen to the progenitors and then "return the favor".
By leaving them a similar sorta set of stuff they left you.
You get a much better buff as well called "Full Circle".
Im some what curious though if I had just invaded the planet if an alternate story line might have happen. Guess I'll have to find out another time.

is on the shoulders of giants event somehow connected to the sentinel event? i got that while i was playing as on shoulders of giants origin

I think that one has multiple endings, so whatever you got isn't necessarily going to be what someone else got.

Update - It isn't over! I got alittle bit more story out of it later in game.
Including some new sectors.

@jagothegamer im pretty sure it is i also got it on my guaranteed habitable world when i removed a glacier blocker while playing this origin.

can you said what bonuses you actually get from this origin under spoiler tag ?
i'm tempted to try it but it would suck if in the end its some +20% to useless technology nobody need.

i dont remember the bonuses but i think it was some happiness boost or someshit and i loved the final archeological sites line

How long before the digsite becomes available? I've tried launching multiple games with this starting Origin, and so far none of them had a Digsite from the start.

The digsites usually show up a short time after you finish the first one that pops up

You need to wait about 3-4 days for the first dig site to spawn in your home system and about the same for each subsequent one.

Oof, I think they're broken for me then cause I've tried multiple playthroughs til year 5 just to see when it would come up, and so far nothing. Thanks for the info, I'll take a look into what might be doing it, conflict with a mod or something.

My PC is broken, dead PSU. So I cant play Stellaris.
But I want to know, once part II starts where you find your benefactors regressed people on the planet near by, what happens if you kill them/invade their planet?
Did the story team take this rout into the story? Will you get an alternate story about revenge while forfeiting the part 2 bonus?

I tried to do this one in one of my games, apparently another AI on the map also spawned with the origin and the system spawned next to them and they instantly claimed it and did the event. I sent a science ship there anyway, and nothing happened, I was totally locked out of the ending. ~_~

idk why i got this event and excavation mission...i started out as void dwellers so when I got this randomly pop up talking about our ancestors I was very confused. I am a custom human species with the default United Earth in my game, BUT they dont have the origin either, they have the default unification origin,,,it would be cool if i could get access to both origins (or mine - and partially theirs as we are the same species) but I dont think this is WAD
