Sentinels Archaeology Site
Hi Everybody, 2.61 Beta player here, I just wanted to see if anyone else has gotten this in their recent games. After colonizing a couple of worlds and clearing off a couple of Massive Glacier tiles, I got a notification that said nine statues were discovered. After going through the archaeology site, I got a special project to "break one open" only for them to come to life and request that they stay on the planet. I agreed, and now my planet has 8 defensive armies of sentinels (One asked if I could "Let them go" so I did, not knowing what would happen.) When I tried to ask them about what they were or about their "Heaven" the dialogue boxes were blank. Has anyone else come across this chain? If so, did you pick other choices? What did they give you? Is this just a 2.61 chain, or have base 2.6 players found this as well?

Same glitch for me. Additionally, though my armies were pretty good, the sentinels were practically invincible- they had 2000 military force and quickly cut through my 8000 martial force army.

If you allow them to stay, there is zero possibility of removing them from your planet, even though they killed at least one of your scientists.

Hey, Paradox. What the hell, guys? I was told these would make the game more fun and alive, but this is just bad. Make it a choice, sure, but make it a CHOICE, not a "This looks like an answer but if you pick it the sentinels will literally genocide your planet."

This happens when you scroll down and don't scroll back to the top. The text box thinks you're still down so far below the top of the text field, but the text in that field doesn't stretch far enough, if that makes sense.

This isn't limited to just this either. Any time you scroll down in this game, be sure to scroll back to the top before going to the next bit.

Not sure what you mean, Altanese. I have no doubt you know what you're talking about, but I can't contextualize it.

The OP said some of the text boxes were blank, Altanese was explaining why. I did the event and none of the text boxes were blank for me. The last option for "You are free to go." or "We need you.." is rather confusing and I'm not sure what happens. I assume you get one less sentinel defending your planet if you pick the top option.

Only if you picked the wrong option.

I liked the event overall, -1 district is a small price to pay for a planet that's basically impossible for the enemy to capture without ridiculous amounts of orbital bombing.

Just finished the event chain and I pretty much liked it aside from the blank text. The missing scientist didn't hurt me much and no one was harmed aside from him. I've let one of the sentinels escape but it didn't do much, now my planet has lots of strong sentinel defenders which is pretty neat :D
