Building disappears
Hello.
I have a problem on a conquered planet. Whenever I build a building, it disappears at the turn of the month. The problem occurs on only one planet.

Is the population decreasing, through undesirables or relocation?

If the population decreases below the requirement for the building slot, the building gets ruined (which is silly, right?) but what you've said sounds like it's something else. Thought I'd ask.

The population remains unchanged. The building disappears, the slot is free again and can be rebuilt.

Just want to chime in here that you're not crazy, and I have the same bug. It's clearly a new 2.2.6 thing related to conquered planets.

Same situation: conquered a planet. Mine had three slots filled (including the capital buildings) when conquered. When a fourth, new slot opened up, anything built there would disappear as soon as it the build progress bar was completed. Eventually due to pop growth a second empty slot opened up, same thing for that slot. Nothing new can be built.

As an experiment, I also tried replacing one of the two existing buildings (Alloy plant to Mineral Purification); it appeared to finish and the icon was replaced, but then it reverted to an empty slot at the end of the month, too!

Bummer!

@Khan
Do you use mods?

I can confirm that this happens to non-conquerd worlds. I had to stop using one of the many Galvius AI Patches (More Events Patch) to fix the AI that meant AI's would disssasemble buildings. Now the AI has recoverd it's industry but I can't build anything on my colony.

I think it's mod related but I can't spend the time figuring out what mod is causing it. OR if it's just 2.2.6. All I know is that buildings will finish, but as soon as they do they get destroyed after the month ticks over. It doesn't matter if you or the AI is in control of the planet, it happens either way.

I doubt it's the sector AI as this is happening on a planet in my home system (that isn't my capitol).

Edit: Resettleing pops to reduce the planets building slots doesn't help. As soon as you grow back and build a structure, it gets cleared in a few days.

Edit 2: Figured out it probably has to do with any planet size mods (Planet View 2 is the popular one right now). If applied after the map is generaterd, all tiles get set to ruined permenantly and (for some reason) destroys them. If you applied a mod after map generation or fixed an incompatibility issue that made the mod NOT work, that will be the cause. Besides save file editing, easiest way is to make a new game it would seem.

Loooool. Say to me - why, just why so many players never ever read mod description? :steamfacepalm:

On mod page it's clearly stated that this mod DON'T have backward compatibility so it's shouldn't be to be used with existed game and lead to bugs if you try so (as you do).

I didn't change anything while the game was running.

I use the following mods:
+Glavius Ultimate AI for 2.2.6
+Real Space 3.2
+Real Space - New Frontier
+Planet Diversity
+Planet Diversity New World Moduls
+Realistic Demographics
+Primitive Worlds
+Exigency
+EG Lager Galaxy Sizes

There is a patch you should be using between Glavius and Planet Diversity (and new world module). That probably isn't causing it, but should fix some weird district things.
