Displacement Purging
So I don't like the fact that my empire is becoming a melting pot of every species in the galaxy.
BUT if I use the displacement feature, everyone gets pissed at me for being "genocidal"

I literally haven't killed anyone, I just told them to pack up.
However, I have like 5 neighbors with migration treaties, so they would literally go somewhere else just as good.

Little help? I want to get rid of these species, without pissing everyone off.

Pack them all up on a world, release it as a vassal. Be sure to check you will not lose anything important around it, settle a new world on some forgotten edge of your space for the purpose if you must. After that, if you truly want to cut ties, release the vassal. Your former xenos are now their own problem.

In growth, click portrait of growing species
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1661327770

Then select the species you want to grow, cuts 50% current growth and -20% growth penalty as long as preferred species is active

Their UI is not as obvious or good-looking as it could be for these things.

Doesn't matter, if you're conquering people but you don't want their pops you'll still have to deal with it.

I don't want them to not grow, I don't them at all.

That's just the inevitable side-effect of being a conquering nation.

neuter them. you don't get the penalty that way.

Unfortunately machine empires don't have neutering.

Displacement is bugged currently
And I did a bit of digging, and I'm kind of dumb for not thinking of this. If you go into the species rights tab and set the default migration to enable controls, then only species you choose to let in will be let in. Easy way to avoid every refugee and their first cousin from walking in.
