Mardak Vol and the Mardak Purgers

Playing a game where I'm a Spiritualist/Militarist/Xenophobe and Basically want to get as many species in my empire as possible and hopefully get the "God-Emperor" event fter getting a chosen one. I wanted the Mardak Vol to be members of my empire but those damn Purgers and their stack of crusiers appeared, yet they just despawn after a month? The skull icon in the system dissapeared and clicking on the system shows nothing(as its in my borders and can see it all). So do they just disapear or are they gonna come back later?
