Not getting achievements?
Does anyone know why I am not getting any achievements? I have 219 hours on Stellaris, but not a single achievement has unlocked...

do you play with mods? that means no achievements
do you plain ironman mode? that is also mandatory for achievements
used a console command? also deactivates achievements

just to rule out the obvious problems, beyond that I can't help :P

You can't use console in iron-man so...

Iron Man is usually the cause, you need to switch it on for achievements to unlock. (Iron man disables console and manual saving)

you also cannot use most mods with iron man, though some that are just cosmetic changes are usually okay. I use a background room mod that doesn't stop me from earning achieves

Ok, it's probably Iron Man. I generally don't play with it on.

That sucks, honestly. never had to play in iron man mode on any other game. So much for being a casual I guess.

To be fair achievement hunting is generally not for casuals anyhow except the congrats to pressed a button achievements.

it's how paradox does it, my guess is they want people to earn the achievements without mods that make the game easier

Yeah, well, not playing in iron man isn't what most people would consider a mod...

no, but that's one of the things iron man prevents alongside console commands and save scumming(unless you put in a bit of effort)

Iron-man doesn't prevent mods, that's why you need both iron-man and no mods for achievements.
I also believe you can't get achievements playing multiplayer.

Ironman prevents gameplay mods. So no. We do not need both.
you CAN enable ironman while modded, the green/red text is for achievements

that is correct

It's basically so that you have to earn the achievements without making it super easy to get them, using mods that make the game easy or give you overpowered ships, or console commands to just give yourself the required stuff for the achievement, or reloading an old save to avoid a mistake, etc

I dont' know. Being able to set yourself up to play by yourself on the map ironman helps you cheese yourself into getting quite the number of achievements.
one needs to active "Steam Cloud" in Setting (under Steam, left above)
AND play on "Ironman" to be able to get achievements in Stellaris
not fond of the cloud thing ...
