Planetary Management Guide?
I haven't played in over a year and the game has changed drastically. I get the basics of planets having districts now, and that buildings turn basic resources into advanced resources. However, I'm not really sure what's a good build order for new planets, or how to tell what to specialize a planet in. Thanks.

Perfect!
Generally I look for any modifiers, like if it has science ones you can go for it there, but mostly it's a build whatever you need, if you don't need anything alloys, research, or unity depending on your focus (unity early game, research later game, alloys if not feeling safe in military might).

Mostly you want to build 1 district (mining, food, energy) before the first building becomes available at 5 pops.

No pop should be unemployed unless you are running a utopian abundance empire.

Generally avoid building things if you have jobs open, just wait for there to be 0 jobs available or later on just unemployment since it has a visual cue. (though if you have a building slot use it).

The first buildings early game should be alloys or unity since you are still building up.

Once you know how safe you are, doing robotics can be good for very good early growth if you want to put in the investment.

However alloys is generally a good first bet and consumer goods as you need them, as alloys will make the entirety of your military might and establish yourself early game to deal with A.I. threats.
At least in grand admiral.
