Rights are in order, but my robots/droids still cannot colonize
Hi, I'm rather new to Stellaris, and I've researched robots and droids, set the Colonization policies to Allowed, built colony ships with robots and sent them off. 20% planets are still 20% and I still get the warning that the habitability is very low compared to the species crewing the colony ships. I tried anyway to colonize but the stops right after.
What am I missing?
I have a single Robot factory and very few robots but I chose the robots when creating the colony ships... What else do I need?
Thank you for your time.

check your robot's rights to make sure they can be used for colonization. the button is under their portrait on the demographics screen.

(edit)also, do you have any mods? this sounds like odd behavior because you can't select a species for colony ships if they can't colonize.

Thanks Meewec. Yes their rights are in order, that's what I meant by policies. I have no mods.

Does it matter if I remove every robot factory? I mean, I know that I can't build a colony ship with robots, but colony ships with robots which are already built, should still work as normal, right?

How can one tell which species the colony ship is carrying?

it should have the species portrait on the colony ship window when you select it. unless they removed that feature but i don't think they did

What is the reason for me being able to produce a Colony ship with robots and a couple of seconds later, I can't?
A colony ship with droid colonists should be able to colonize any planet capable of habitation. Droids have 100% habitability everywhere, so the 20% habitability you are seeing is presumably for an organic species in your empire. If you have a colony ship selected and you are getting a low habitability warning when trying to colonize a planet, then it may have organic colonists instead of droids.

Also, once you start colonizing a planet (meaning the colony ship travels to the planet and begins the colonization process) nothing short of violent enemy action should stop the process.

Exactly. OP has been answered in another thread, and the fact that some planets still display a low habitability means that there's no droid species yet allowed to colonize new worlds. In the opposite case, any colonisable world would be displayed with a green icon and a 100% habitability score (for your empire).
Please check these species rights in your empire's species panel.

Thanks guys, it must be a bug then, as I've researched robots and droids and set the rights to allowed and the "red" planets are still red... Furthermore, three colony ships specifically wouldn't colonize any kind of planet, not matter the habitability...

I always thought you needed synthetic's with citizen rights to colonise with robots but everything Ive read says otherwise. Since you need leader class pops to fill the 2 colony jobs.
