What does the UNE in humans (UNE) and the CM in humans (CM) stand for in the name lists? And what is the difference between the two?
I wonder and i can't figure it out.

i think united nation of the earth

and commowealth of men

une is same than european union

cm is more like rome republic

une started on earth

cm started new human civ on another planet in a very far solar system with different politic system

so see cm like the birth of usa if usa turned into warmonger bloodly country

The UNE is what the EU pretends to be, the CM is what the EU actually is.

im not sure how you play your game but my CM isnt a dyfunctional rapidly splintering mess being torn apart by rebeling factions and wildly disparate economic systems. i also didnt enter a migration treaty with the Evangelizing Zealot slave empire.

xenophobe militarist dictatorship sounds more like space nazis.

modern USA is (sort of) represented by the "democratic crusader" ai type that tries to spread democracy in a rather aggressive way.
cm is not really space nazis, to be space nazis you need to be purified xenophobe

they are more space mongol if they go into bloodrage, the best i see it is roman republic or classical athens greece

nazis fit just fine as an analogy for CM. they are xenophobe so their default stance is to enslave or purge conquered xenos (depends on settings per race) - you don't need purifier for that.

but purifiers can't have diplomacy, which doesn't actually fit the nazi theme - real nazi germany was allied with other counties (italy, japan, romania, also the soviet union during the initial campaign against poland) - without those pacts that war wouldn't even be known as a "world war" since it would have been a single country trying to conquer its neighbor and then getting stomped by everyone around them .
