Can't build Sentry Array?

After a long struggle I've finally made progress to the Sentry Array megastructure, but as soon as I tried to build it, I ran into a problem; I can't find a place to build it. It's not giving me a location to build it unlike any other megastructure I've already built.

I have enough minerals, influence, etc to build it. Even according to the wiki it says it should be able to be constructed around a Star or Black Hole - of which I have plenty - but it just won't find a place to build. Am I doing something wrong here?

you might have to delete the mining station around the star

Sounds like it....megastructures dont like pre-existing things in place.

Nope, it happens on ANY star, even without a station on it.

have you tried just clicking on the build mega button in a system to see if anything lights up for building the sentry array on ?

Two questions:

When you right click a star and select build megastructure, what error does it display when you float over the sentry array?

Also, have you finished building your other non-habitat/non-gateway megastructures, or are you currently still finishing a different one?

Maybe because they are not built around stars

If you are already building or upgrading another Mega-Structure you are blocked from building others until you complete the existing build. Mega Structures are built one at a time.

i have the same problem and no other structure in progress...

If you click your construction ship, select the megastructures icon, and then click where you want to build it, it should tell you which ones you cannot build, and why not.
