How to find Betharian
I suddenly found the option to research Betharian power plants in my tech tree, which I did, but I'm not sure where the tech came from or where I can build these power plants now I have the tech. I can't seem to find a planet I've discovered that has the resource.

Where would I see if a planet has it available? I tried looking in the expansion planner at planets with special tiles but none of them seem to have it. I'm stumped. Any ideas?

Check the blocked tiles as well. You build the plant in the buildings section.

It's in the tile blockers section, there are the tile blockers, and rare resources above the tile blockers. If you have rare resources it will say x1 or however many resources you have.

Thanks for the answers but I've been through all my discovered planets with a fine tooth comb and all the tiles, blocked or otherwise, are either +generators, mining or agri. I've only discovered 7 so far l, it's early game, and I can't see anything about Betharian on any of them unfortunately.

I'm wondering if it appeared in my tech tree because of a bit of tech I got from something a caravan dropped in my territory. They discarded an old ship and my constructor got me a free tech from it. I was sure it was micro replicators or something like that though. But maybe it was like a glitch or something and it gave me Betharian refining instead? Cause it had kind of a glowing outline when it was in my tech options and was almost fully completed, it research instantly when I took it.

On an amusing side note, I have discovered a tomb world which has an animal zoo special tile. Just picturing all those alien critters hiding out in a valley on an otherwise completely dead world...
