Not only does it lag after every day tick, but it also lags whenever you mouse over a tooltip that changes as you scroll. At this point this snafu is so deeply rooted in the source code that it won't be an easy fix. I'm about to uninstall and hope in a year or two they get around to fixing it.
Ya, I noticed it before the patch, but it was tolerable. Now, it's so bad I just can't stand it anymore. If what you say is true about them knowing about it, that's very dissapointing and I am sorry I gave them money for the expansion. I liked everything else, but this performace issue is troubling.
When I pause the game and move around the map or system, it runs more smoothly (as in video above). As soon as I run at Normal or even Slow, I get a ton of stuttering. Running on Fastest and trying to move around the map is nauseating. Trying to click into systems, clicking on the Outliner, opening Contacts panel, etc. all also take a really long time to open, like intense computer lag (but my computer runs fine).
Is this something to do with how they changed sectors in 2.2 and micro-managing planets? So now all the planets are effecting lag/runtime? Or is it related to UI stuff?
I've tried several lag-reducing options (disable WIndows Update, remove Steam overlay, reduce graphics settings, bloom, etc.) but it's still stuttering to the point I can't really play this empire anymore.
now after i steamroll my enemy on the new patch, after i got spamed with new sector for every fricking planet i capture the game stutter to 1 fps on each day even on the slowest game speed
if i have task manager open on the side..stellaris is only using 10% of my Ryzen CPU and around 1.5GB of Ram..so its the game it self that is broken..like everything else on this patch, the AI can't even build a fleet because the new economy is too complicated for the dumb AI
Shame this has been an issue for so long... hopefully they do something about it??
install the beta patch and the game continues to stutter each passing day
