..OP litterally said they checked that, actually read the original post, its not rocket science
Change the version to some other version (I used the last beta), wait for it to update, then change back. It will update again. The CRC and version number will be identical to what you had before the first switch, but it will automagically work.
I don't know why that fixes it. Maybe it's using some other hash internally that you don't see as the 4-digit value in the UI. Even redownloading the game didn't work until I did the version switcharoo.
So I begin to investigate and found a .txt documment in the instalation folder named checksum_manifest.txt. This documents tell the game witch folders to "check" to do the "sum". So, beside the common folder, I deleted the location, map and localisation_synced folder, then made a check folder procedure on steam and re-downloades those folders and, voila! Checksum now is fixed. Try this before uninstalling the game.
Hope this work for you and sorry for the bad english.
This worked for my friend too. Deleted the three folders (common, map, and localisation_synced), verified the installation, and then restarted, and the game hash was good!
That worked ! Thank you so much ^^ !
I even reinstalled before finding your post, which didn't work. This did ... I don't know why.
