Replacing Districts and the way of the Machines

So playing as a machine it's pretty pointless to gather food. Am I able to replace the Agriculture District to something else? If so by simply clicking replace? or is there more too it?

If you cannot replace it, then shoot.

Click on the picture of the district, a sidebar should pop up. Click "Demolish" or "Replace".

I demolished it, but it's still present. I can't replace it if I demolish it either. So... Yeah.

You shouldn't have an agriculture district as machine empire, unless you built it yourself, in which case you can demolish it.

But you probably don't actually mean the district but the district slot, i.e. the green square where you can build an agri district. Just don't build it. You can only build a limited number of districts on a planet anyways, just build the other three.

You shouldnt need one, however, the way the game is right now, it seems like even assimlation empires need food for their thralls. I just lost one game already (very early stages mind you) due to energy problems, trying to balance out food production to keep the meatbags going.

Im done with that idea. Time to go full exterminator mode, hell with organics lol.

You can't replace the agriculutral district, but you don't have to build it either. You get several options: Turn the food into energy using one of your precious building slots, focus on nexus districts or resettle the machines once all of the jobs you want are filled.

I for sure have a Agri district, I've demolished it now, but it's still visible. So. This whole district system is a little confusing.

Are you really, really sure? Sorry for asking. But whether ot not you have a district is only shown by the small green square below the picture being a slightly brighter color.

Oh, then no. I fiddled about and I realize what you mean. I suppose the agriculture district image stays even when you demolish it. I need to mess about with it more to fully understand how the new system works.
