Can't enjoy this game
I've put about 137 hours into this game but I still can't like it. It's something about the design of this game thats missing, it feels soulless. Whilst I'm playing it I never really feel immeresed at all it just seems bland. Everything is just numbers and stats and micro tedious resource management. I really wanted to like this.

it had a soul from 1.0 - 2.1 ... after that its only a laggy husk
i know what i´m talking about , have over 3.4k hours of active gameplay
paradox made a fun game but patched the fun out of it

Got to remember, his 100 hours (and Spirit's 3k hours) are in a version of the game that was massively different from the current one, so if you're trying to imply his game time = his like of the game, it isn't since the game he played was not the same one currently in existence.

"he has a different opinion than me therefore he is a troll"

I say the hours to show that i have played a fair amount of it and not like 1 or 2 hours. Everytime I play this game there is some huge update that completely changes it and it still feels boring

You put nearly a hundred and fifty hours of your life into a game you don't like. Either you don't value your own time, or you do like the game. Either way, to come here and make a thread about it instead of posting a review is definitely trolling. In fact, I saw a thread just like this locked yesterday for that exact reason.

I dont browse the forums that much and I'm trying to provoke a discussion, how is that trolling? You are not discussing anything it seems like you are in fact the troll, so please stop wasting everyones time and replying to this thread

So you wanted discussion but you didn't want anyone to disagree with you?

Why did you spend 137 hours of your life playing a game you don't like? You could have learned to play the guitar or another language.

I feel the game has unnecesary complexities. Buildings shoud just give the bonus without requiring jobs to be filled. It requires micromanaging of job priorities.

With Districts I could tolerate the job system. But with buildings it's excessive complexity that is not fun. It's a chore that gets in the way.

A science vessel has a queue for surveying celestial objects by defeault but a construction ship cannot be ordered to build mines in sequence (and no, the resource allotment is not an impediment, if there are not enough resources by the time the ship is going to start the next mine, THEN halt. Just like an SCV on starcraft. It is doable.)

But no, construction ships micromanaging mayhem.

I understand there being ship design, but fleet template? Why? It is easy enough to just group your ships however you want. A whole menu for just managing what is the predifined ship distribution of a fleet... Again more unnecessary complexities.

Factions. I understand factions. Not fun. It's a nuisance. I really wouldn't miss that. Need to change empire attributes? Just have a government reform/revolution. Factions are absolutely unnecessary.

So many unnecessary things and then basic stuff, for this kind of game, like espionage, is non-existent.

I do enjoy very complex games. But complexity should serve the goal of enjoyment and making the game fun. Here it feels it's complex just for the sake of making it a very complicated game.

Er... might I point out my previous answer? That he might have played a version of the game that got changed?

If you read his posts, he clearly states he's hated every iteration.

Oh well, time for a refund then lol. 140 hours isn't a lot really.

I got cup of soda pop, a bag of popcorn and a front row seat, let the show begin.

This is a false statement.
Stellaris is a slow game.
137 hours isnt enough to even finesh a single match(atleast not with my setting of max map and max empires)
Stellaris(and paradox games in general) constantly makes you feel it will be fun in just a moment.
There games are all good idea poor gameplay.
When i play stellaris i always feel like it shoud be fun.
It shoud be enjoyable.
But it isnt.
And because it shoud be we start asking what we are doing wrong instead of admiting it is dull.
The reason for that is that the game is a good idea but the gameplay is just dull.
You spend most of your time waiting.
Waiting for ships to arive.
Waiting for pops to grow.
Waiting for stuff to be build.
Waiting for research.
Waiting for your fleet to kill there fleet.
Waiting for war downtime to end.
Waiting for warscrone to catch up with the fact your own its entire empire.
Etc.

Stellaris is a game that could be fun if the accauly fix the pacing.
Because right now it is too much waiting.

Had a tread about this too. It was big.

I still see sometimes Stellaris is updating and some mods are getting updates, and still curious what it may become, may be I will give it a shot someday again, but after last big patch I really cannot find intension to jump into Stellaris again..

And I had much fun with it, even done about 75 achievements with. Only this can tell alot. Still no see Stellaris as a game anymore.. it lost something.. something big, hooking and interesting.
