It is a war for containment. There shouln't be any claims to make as far as I understand. But I tried to reload and make claims on the systems, but they still passed on to him. Maybe if I made claims before the war started. But I dont know. It all seems kinda wierd when I am the one that takes all the systems, and he is my subject, not allied.
Doesn't matter. In any kind of war (except humiliation? I'm not sure about that, I never declare humiliation wars), you'll get territory for which you have claims if you occupied the territory.
Yes, there's that. Make sure your economy is ready though. Intergration these days can be a tricky prospect.
Meewee do the claims still exist after the war?
I have no idea. Just guessing here.
It is possible, though I am not sure. As you can see on the screenshots it is mostly his borders, but not all of them. The AEs capital region was bordering me, and under my control until it suddently went to my subject.
