but save, try to do X, fail, and reload to try again defeats the purpose of ironman mode which is why you can't save.
pretty sure it doesn't save if you alt-f4 instead of quit normally. so you can savescum anyways.
Ya but you can only cheat it so much. Plus for Stellaris savescumming isn't as big of a deal, but for games like CK2 or EU4 where one war can make or break you, savescumming is a pretty big deal.
It helps me prevent save scumming.
I makes for a beter story if you fail from time to time.
