Lost in space

So I got this game gifted to me a few days ago and thought I'd check it out. Figured out how to manage my empire and econ but aside from that I have no idea what to do so I usually just end up sitting around until I get bored. I explore and find other empires but my diplomacy options feel limited. Im also not entirely sure how to win so Im not sure what to focus on.

He does a "first 10 years" series you might find really helpful.

Then, you can come back with more focused/direct questions and get useful answers. I'm not trying to get rid of you, but as is, this topic is going to lead to a lot of disjointed and perhaps even more confusing information if we don't know what really isn't clicking. This channel should at least help you figure out what to ask.

I have watched some of his stuff already but have not found any direction. I'll look again because honestly sitting around with no direction at all is really boring.

Part of the learning process is to try things and then learn from whether they succeed or fail. If you don't know what to do, that doesn't mean you have to do nothing. Pick something to do, modest or ambitious, try to do it, and then learn from the outcome. As you do this over and over, you will be building a repertoire of knowledge about what works and what does not work that will serve to guide you toward success in the future.
