Fully automated space communism (very gay)
I was trying to come up with the idea to utilise utopian living standarts and come up with this-

ETHICS- F egalitarian (10% more consumer goods production along with other things)
Materialist (required for mechanist civics, less robot upkeep)

Civics- start with technocracy and mechanist. Later we will add enviromentalist becase OMG CONSUMER GOODS UPKEEP IS INSANE. Maybe replace technocracy with bureaucracy.

Species start with rapid breeders trait. Later we will add communal and conservationist. We will also half ascend into cyborgs because it also increases robot build speed. We will not fully ascend because it will require synths and ai rights we and dont want that.

Our strategy is to built droids. A lot of them. And let them take every single job that they can work. Droids are amazing- they have small housing and upkeep usage. Organic pops will be working as researchers, rulers and unity generators (i assume droids cant work unity jobs?). When organical population runs out of jobs- we will activate utopian living standarts. This will grant us even more unity and research, while hopefully not destroying our economy- we will have at least 30% discount on consumer goods.

Droids don't work Culture & Research.
Synths do, but they also work Rulers I believe...

How do you start with technocracy AND mechanist?

Nani? Its not mutually exclusive. Even pre-built empire ("Lokken Mechanists" i believe) uses this combination.

I derped, apologies
Was thinking something else

While Technocracy is always just a good choice, I think I would go Nobles instead
+9% CG sounds more useful imo

We cant go Nobles since we are fanatical egalitarians. Unless we change to be fanatical materialist and egalitarian- but thats 5% less specialist output. I heard worker/specialist output is added after all other modifiers, so that 5% specialist output means more than 9% from 15 extra stability. Im not sure though.
