Dragon Egg

I have a gamesave before the dragon dies, just in case the event happens when it dies instead of after doing something else.
Is it random chance wreckage, random event on a planet, random chance owning the Hoard, or something else?

I got it randomly after mining the horde for a while

You get the dragon hoard

Right after or later you get the option to use remains for a big mineral boost or to unlock dragon scale armor : the best you can get in the game

Later again you get the choice between destroying or hatching the egg, it will give you your own dragon and it will grow to a slightly bigger size after some years becoming stronger

However don't expect it to be strong, past mid game it can easely be lost in battle, had this happening to me with the dreadnought dying in the first battle despite having my fleet as backup

Cool, thanks guys. Will continue the save- I'll just mine. Also colonize a planet in the system. Might make the events happier :)

Speaking of mascot, I hope I find another amoeba. I got one in another game but not this one (yet).
