Asteroid event
Playing as inward perfection empire. Primitives sit on juicy 24 tiles world with rare resources. Cant do anything with them cause im pacifist. Suddenly- huge asteroid is going to fall on a planet. Will this asteroid destroy the planet, destroy the civilisation or sent this civilisation back to the stone age? If it goins to just destroy their civilisation- great, one more planet for me. Its not MINE fault that those loathsome xeno cant defend themselfs. If its other two options- i guess i have to interfere.

In any case - if you're playing unmodded game don't forget post this bug on main Paradox forum. Because primitives shouldn't get events for colonized worlds.

Dude what? Its not a bug. Its primitive world event, it was in the game from the very beginning. I just destoyed the asteroid every single time so i dont know the outcome of impact.

Bug. Asteroid event should target only planets belong to empire, not primitive worlds. Same with any other colony threat events (they actually have check to be owned by player empire not ai).

"cause an extinction event and leave the planet barren"

In what way? Will create barren world? Tomb world? Simply destroy civilisation?

you can always save the game and try a few times.

id be more worried about even an outpost shooting down the asteroid though. asteroids move super slow so even low level missiles tend to detroy em before they impact.

First - sorry, I forget about OBSERVATION event with asteroid. Very sorry - almost never playing non-genocidal / non-slaver race, so don't remember any observer events :steamhappy:

This will happen if asteroid collide with planet:

immediate = { event_target:primitive_impact_planet = { destroy_colony = yes change_pc = pc_barren reset_planet = yes

So planet will turn into barren and will be destroyed (AFAIK this mean no terraforming is possible later).
