Ironman, yet no achievements?
So, before I continue I will state the following as that no-one construes different if they read this:
- I have never at anytime had mods for this game.
- The game is freshly installed
- New computer thus every left over file from previous saves and ect have been deleted/destroyed when I wiped my hard drive, plus I'm running off SSD so old stuff is for sure not used.
- I have selected ironman mode, and no options changed from details.
- Because of a bug I had to delete 'events' folder and then verify integrity which reinstalled these and should have reset game files to default.

In creating new game it says that "This game is not eligible for achievements", ok weird. Read a bunch of forums that essentially say I have one of the previously mentioned things incorrect, which they can't be. One said select ironman and move on with your life. I did, played for a few hours until I colonized a planet which should give me an achievement. Nothing.

Anyone else have any ideas what it could be?

Thanks.

Stellaris achievements require that you also turn on Steam Cloud saving. If that doesn't do it, what does the tooltip say when you hover over the red warning that says "This game is not eligible for achievements" at campaign creation once you've turned Cloud Saving on?

Cloud saving is enabled. The red warning says "Checksum is Modified" on default settings and default faction selection.

I also thought it may be because I wasnt actually signed into paradox which says enables achievements, but after doing so, including verifying profile, still checksum is modified.

Thank you!

Is likely the problem here. When

it means exactly that: files are either changed or missing.

Hm... welp, before I continue I might suggest waiting a few hours to see if anyone has a less drastic and less time-consuming suggestion. If nothing else comes up then given what you've already done, and then did at my previous suggestion -- I can only recommend the nuclear option. Some of it is going to seem redundant, but such is the nature of these things:

- Uninstall the game via steam.
- Go along this file path: Documents -> Paradox Interactive. If you see Stellaris in here, delete it. The whole folder.
- Go along this file path: ~~~ Steam -> SteamApps -> Common. If you see Stellaris, delete the folder.
- Go along this file path: ~~~ Steam -> SteamApps -> workshop -> content. In here, find the folder marked 281990 and delete it. It shouldn't exist, or if it does it should be empty, but we're going all in here so delete it anyway if it does.

The reason for all of this is because, despite what one might hope, Steam does not remove everything related to a game when you hit uninstall. And unfortunately "Verify Integrity" only seems to catch things that are missing or changed, and only sometimes on the changed part. If something is added in, it won't be removed in my experience. Also, since I don't have a clear picture of your storage situation on your new machine, like whether or not the old HDD is still running, just briefly glance along those paths on that one too. They shouldn't exist, I know, but remember this is the ♥♥♥♥ it option. May as well be sure.

Finally, reinstall Stellaris. Double check cloud saving is on. Flick on Ironman. Then at this point there would no reason I can come up with that you shoudn't have access to achievements.
