What does having the galactic market on one of your planets do?
In my game with a friend, another empire managed to, somehow, get the galactic market "hosting" instead of one of us.
Except we have no idea what it gives him.
We see no modifiers on any of his planets. Hovering on his name in the market doesn't show anything.

What does it do?

Hosting the Galactic Market gives the planet-owner a -10% to market fees. It's quite powerful, but it's tied to the specific planet, so if you (or more likely, the AI) lose the planet, then the new owner gets it. Was quite fun to have 20% Market Fee with some Barbaric Despoilers.

you get a discounted rate when you do transactions in the store.

How do I see what market fee my empire has?

If you open the market tab, it'll be a x0% entry near the top of the window, dead-center. IIRC, it's just above the various resource icons.
