The Vechtar Zavonia Event
I have been starting new games alot recently, due to multiplayer or trying out a new playstyle, and 4 times in a row i've gotten this event which when followed through, gives you an almost empty size 25 gaia world with a couple tile blockers. I just wanna know if anyone else frequently gets this event because I find a little ridiculous to have gotten it 4 times in a row, especially when playing with the life seeded civic in 2 of them.

I think I've gotten it every single playthrough since it was added to the game. I mean I'll take the sweet planet of course, but it is getting a bit repetative.

Actually it has popped so often that in my current playthrough i got alittle screwed on nearby planets and caught myself thinking "It ok, ill get a 25 Gaia with free slaves soon."

Yes, pops up all the time. But hey, free 25 tile Gaia planet and also there are free exterminators getting rid of the vermin infestation on the planet for you. So really not that much to complain about it.

It always seems to put the system the most irritating spots too.

I tent to get them alot.
Quest seems bugged tho.
If i claim there harmless a fleet blows up my stations and leave.
And if i let them purge them i get a free gaia world.

They shoud add the option:
Do you have evidence?

I mean taking the word of one random xeno that an other random xeno is a race of parisitic mind controlers is alot to ask.
I mean i am sure they got medic date, science logs.
For that mather why didnt my scientist find out that they where paristic lifeform?
She is fired.

The quest seemed to be unfineshed.

zavonia is derived from word voňať.

She did. If you read the description, she said they were in a symbiotic relationship, so it might not be as parasitic as described.

Hmm. I normally happily take posession once the pest controllers have visited. But you've got me curious now about my options

1. Fight off the exterminators
2. Purge the little fungoids myself (what kind of empires can purge, I wonder?)
3. Other options?

I get this event every single game, and it tends to occur early before I hae the time to build a decent fleet. Has anyone ever taken the "harmless" option and been able to defeat the attacking fleet? Just once I'd like to save the planet's aliens and find out if my population gets overrun by brain parasites.

Yes, it's the worst possible option for a pacifist, you get a planet you can't colonize because of existing primitive civilization. If you're xenophobe/militant, you can just invade, if not, you got to tech uplift them. then integrate as vassals.

I also get this every game and at one point i used the console command to destroy the alien fleet so i could see what happens later in the game and when I finally enlightened them they were a perfectly normal pacifist race with no sign of symbiosis or parasites.

But I don't know what happens if you ligit destroy the alien fleet with one of yours ( ie don't use console commands ).

Same thing, no difference.

I've still never seen this event fire. Not a single time.
