My keybinds and mouse functions are all wierd now.

I am not sure how to explain it. But right clicking on a system to tell construction ships to build mining and research stations dont work anymore, i can't just left click the system anymore to into the system to view i have to double click on the name itself. If i left click anywhere all i see is just red circles rippling from the point i clicked on. ESC does nothing any more. I edited no files and do not play with mods. I can not find anything in the settings section to correct it either. please assist. The game is completely unplayable for me. I even tried to google the symptoms and all i get are post of people asking to redo keybinds which isn't what I am looking for. restarting the game itself like 10 times will correct it for just that session. Then when I go to play a game the next day it will do the same thing as well.

I've had that ping thing happen but just a restart would solve it.

ALT key is the ping thing key. It may be an alt-tabbing issue. Sometimes the ALT key can be stuck in active state, hitting it a few times while the stellaris window is active should resolve the issue.
Same goes with CTRL and SHIFT keys, depending the key combination you used to change your window focus.

I'm not entirely too sure why, but someone on reddit just tell me to alt+tab key out of the game and alt+take key back into the game and it works now.
