Keep getting the Ghost Signal Crisis
Greetings ,

I have been playing Stellaris for almost two years and since the Syntetic Dawn Update , I never got any other crisis ( except the Ghost sinal ) .

Time to time , I create some maps for grinding achievements (being the only empire etc. ) but in my last playtrough , there were no zRobotic Fallen Empires or any other Robotic empire ( I was the only empire in the game and I did not researched the Synth tech ) . I also made sure that I have not researched any tech , whicn would summon the Unbidden . But somehow , I mananed to get the Ghost Signal instead of the Prehoryn . I've checked the crisis triggering mechanisms and none of the informations which I've read happened trough my game ... Can someone please explain it to me how to STOP THE GHOST SIGNAL APPEAR TROUGH MY GAMES... ?

Great, it took you 10 seconds to find a useless mod. I could tell you why it doesn't help missbrown but it's way more fun to let people find out on their own.

Back to the problem, it seems that the contingency is bugged and triggers when it shouldn't. According to other posts about it, there is no real solution, paradox needs to fix it.

Why which Crisis spawns

Scourge: Common Scourge will show up 100% of the time if Chriteria isnt met
Contingency: you researched Sapient AI Combat roles and made Synthedics
Unbidden: Jump Drive is researched.

if you research one of those then it is 50scourge-50whichever you research
if you research both 33-33-33% all three

Make sense?

This isn't even remotely correct. Here is the spawn rates:

10 for the Prethoryn Scourge
x2 if more than 60 End-Game years passed
x3 if more than 80 End-Game years passed
x4 if more than 100 End-Game years passed

10 for the Extradimensional Invaders
x0 if no default empire has either version of the Jumpdrive
x4 if any default empire has Psi Jump Drive
x1.5 if any empire completed the Wanderlust Event chain.

10 for the Contingency, which is heavily modified by the prevalence of robots in the galaxy. Growing Synthetics are excluded but growing Machine Units are not
x1.5 if any empire has Synthetic Population
x2 if any empire has between 10% and 25% Synthetic Population
x3 if any empire has between 25% and 50% Synthetic Population
x4 if any empire has more than 50% Synthetic Population
x1.2 if the Machine Intelligence Fallen Empire exists
x1.25 if any Machine Intelligence empire exists (the aforementioned Fallen Empire counts for this too)
x2 if any Machine Intelligence has between 50 and 100 Machine Units
x3 if any Machine Intelligence has between 100 and 200 Machine Units
x4 if any Machine Intelligence has more than 200 Machine Units

120 Nothing

So, to simplify: If you don't reasearch either jump drives and there isn't a single synth or machine empire on the entire map, you have a 50/50 chance to get either prethoryn or contingency for the first 60 years of the end game (with each having a 1/14 chance to spawn every 5 years).

Thus, you may need to play several single empire games to get the prethoryn.

Ohhh I remember when it was always the swarm. Then it was always the unbidden and now it’s always the contingency.

The only thing I don’t remember is when it was truly random.

I wish paradox just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off with the various ways you can trigger a crisis and it was a simple RNG between the three choices at the start of the game.

Thanks for your helps guys ,

One of my Veteran Stellaris Player friend told me that even if there are no empires which posess synths , if I were to build many robot or droid pops , the criris occurs ( which does not make any sence )

Basically, having synths just makes it easier to occur as, lore-wise, the contengency uses the ghost signal influenced bots and synths to release itself. However, since you'll always find precursor ruins and ruined ships scattered throughout the galaxy in anomalies, it follows that eventually the Contengency's ghost signal will find something out there to use. So you can't stop it completely.

The only one you can stop completely is the unbidden since if no one uses jump drives, they don't know you are there.

Basically, it'll take a few tries, and if you want them to go faster for ironman achievements, I believe you can use the slider to adjust tradition and research speeds along with making the endgame happen sooner without disqualifying a game.
