Can't Neutron Sweep

Hey, I was playing stellaris with a friend and I got to try the apocalypse content, and while doing so I got to a point where I had a colossus with a neutron sweep equiped.
After that I declared a total war and moved my colossus (Which is really slow) over to their colony only to find out that I could not shoot the planet for some reason, the button for "bathe" had a red X on it as if it lacked the requirements to use it but nowhere it said anything about not meeting the requirements.

I tried with the console to allow me to change my policies to allow purge and yet it did not let me shoot. Any help on how to use the colossus?

are you sure you were over their colony? sometimes i enter orbit of the wrong thing if the colony is on a tiny moon

Did you build the default colossus design? It doesn't have a weapon (if you have auto-best turned off, which is generally recommended).

Would the weapon show up in the design if it isn't? Because it is there but it may just be deception

I kept trying different times to move and try again to click enter orbit to no success...

Perhaps you already have another colossus. i remember it's only possible to use one at a time (despite of being buildable)

Only have one, it's my first one, I would have to wait decaes to build another one even if there was not a warning telling me I can only build one

Try turning on Debugtooltip, selecting the colussus and right clicking the planet.
It should show why you can't e.g policies, not at war, invalid design etc (or planet is invalid for your colussus type)

If you are seeing the weapon in the design then you should be fine. You can inspect the colossus itself if you want to be absolutely sure.

That's a shame :/ Any chance you could post some screenshots? Something certiantly doesn't seem right, but it's hard to pick out what. Can you use it on any other planetoid?

i had another thought, are you trying to do it to a machine empire? also, are you using any mods?
