Devastation
I really like the idea of the new system, especially how much it could be used to cripple an empire for years possiablely to the point of no return. This means you will actually have to spread your fleet out to protect things, and it means you actually have to think when warring instead of move fleet a on a corse to thier capital and who cares if I lose a few planets because they will recover almost instantly and this is the quickest way to win the war. Thought?

1. they already stated that devastation shouldn't be so crippling that there isnt a return from it
2. no it wont change the strategy for war, loosing your fleet piecemeal because you protect planets that are beyond a stable defense-line isn't a tactic its a recipe for desaster.
3. heading straight for the enemies capital hasn't been a winning strategy since 2.0, you need to capture the claimed systems first and preferably keep any enemy fleets out of your systems.
