"Psionic Entity"
Found a wormhole in a system that leads to an isolated system not connected to any hyperlanes, tried entering and ti said "everyone to battlestations" after saying that it was radiating malevolent energy. Anybody know what this is? it has a skull for its power so I hope my 80-ish thousand power stack and my 10K -ish psionic avatar can kill it lol.

It's a corrupt avatar, so that fleet should have no problems.

Er, yeah. 80k is more than enough.

Psionic Avatars have very high shields but no armour and very little hull. A fleet that focuses on Missiles and Torpedoes will mess them up good. Whenever I see one, I use a missile heavy set up and don't even get the shields down to half (from other weapons) before it dies.

Yeah, I thought it was some kinda leviathan lol. Also, I found out to my dissapointment how weak my own avatar is, takes a crap ton of damage in battles, but its nice for holding chokepoints atleast. Also, does the Great Kahn get BS Event-Spawned fleets, or can I just march in there and destroy them like I did the other Marauders in the galaxy with my 60K stack? Or do they become a "normal" empire that you gotta DOW to beable to destroy them? I know its off topic but I didnt feel like making another post :)

Most Leviathans can be comfortably beaten with a 20k or higher fleet.

Yes the Great Khan does get 'BS' spawned fleets. Their strongest fleet is 33k. One of the triggers for spawning the Khan is a Marauder empire lose one of their Void Dwellings. The event starts pretty darn fast, a friend and I tried to wipe out Marauders in my space and even between 100k worth of fleets (spread into 5 fleets) the Khan still spawned and pushed us back.

The Great Khan can only spawn after the mid-game. Marauders will have a galaxy wide message saying that their fleets are available to hire. Once this happens, that Marauder clan may spawn a Khan. Only one Khan will spawn in each game. The fact you're so strong yet don't have a Khan confuses me. Do you have a faster tech speed, or set the mid-game to much later? Or maybe you got (un)lucky and a Khan isn't spawning naturally.

When the Khan spawns, the Marauders become a Horde. Along with their regular ships, they spawn about twice as many again along with The Khan's Chosen, the 33k fleet commanded by the Khan. The Horde will attempt to spread in every direction, building a Void Dwelling (about 5k power) around any stars they can. Their fleets will also destroy any Starbases they defeat instead of simply disabling them. Any empire can surrender to the Khan, becoming a Stratapary. These vassal empires don't have to actively help the Horde, but they do have to pay energy and mineral income to the Horde as well as having a reduced navy cap (due to them sending recruits to the Horde). The Horde will also build a Void Dwelling in that empire's capital system, which will continue to spawn 20k fleets so long as the Horde is active.

The Horde can only be stopped with the death of the Khan. They will eventually die on their own (either due to a disease, assassination event or simply old age) or they can be killed by defeating the Khan's Chosen twice (after the first defeat it respawns). When the Khan dies, the Horde will continue for a time until the dust settles.

What happens depends on how many planets they have. If they have none they will become Marauders again. If they have a few they will become a single Khanate state. If they have more, they will split into a number of smaller empires who all hate each other, more planets = more empires.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, anyone who surrenders to the Horde will become a Vassal if the Horde becomes a Khanate state. I'm not sure what happens to them if the Horde becomes Marauders or if the Horde becomes a mixture of successor states.

Ahh ok, thanks. And yeah, I set tech research amd stuff to .25 cause I didnt want to wait for the good stuff. I assumed it also applied to the AI but idk theyre either pathetic or inferior in fleet power either cause they dont get reduced cost or they are just trash at making fleets. But yeah, got like 90K and im expanding to try amd limit their growth. Unfortuinately my neighbor/ally mustve built from a wormhole cause they blocked le in, so now its all messy and I have an bordergory empire :(

If the AI isn't set to a higher difficulty, they really aren't very good at all. They lack the ability to properly manage their economy so only by turning up the difficulty and giving them free resources do they even become relevant.

I personally have it on Grand Admiral with scaling on.

I have a game with the most unlucky "great" Khan ever... the marauders that spawned him live in a small pocket of space that is completely seperated from the rest of the universe by a fallen empire... kinda like Ghengis Khan running into the Sowjet-Army when he tries to leave mongolia...
