Spectral Wraith
I made this post to tell you that the Spectral Wraith is not as bad as expected.

I recently came upon a wraith, which was cutting a line through my empire as it moved from one side to another, travelling from the wormhole it entired from to a wormhole in my space. In this case it was a red wraith, and I had a handful of red (class M) stars in it's way which weaken it. The game had just entered midgame, about to start 2303 and I noticed it was going to pass through a system which had both a red star and one of my fortresses in it. Hurriedly, I constructed a total of 6 defense platforms, and assembled my 2 fleets, totalling about 13k fleet power. These fleets were each comprised of equal numbers of corvets and destroyers, with a few cruisers which I hurriedly produced, leaving 5 in my first fleet and 1 in my second coming to a total of about 90 naval capacity. I have tier 4 weapons at this point (Tier 4 lasers and Railguns, as well as tier 2 particle throwers) on all my ships and defense platforms.

I thought I was screwed, as had read that 20-30k fleet power was needed and, being an ironman game, knew I couldn't reload if all hell broke loose. However, in reality I emerged overwhelmingly victorious, only losing 3 corvetes from each fleet, and 3 destroyers from my first fleet and realised that with the debuff the wraith recieves from the matching type of star, you can pull off a kill with less than you think.

TLDR: If you kill a wraith in a system with the star that weakens it (info available on wiki, or from Curator Order) you can kill a wraith without a surprisingly small, early midgame fleet. Also, the Curator Order can tell you if they think your fleet is strong enough, but I don't know how accurate this is, as it may not take into account starbase power.

I've had little to no experience with the wraiths but I do know they can be significantly weakened when near their fatal star class. The only time I managed to bring down a wrath was with a doomstack with about 50K fleetpower during the endgame consisting of 2 titans and the rest battleships. It goes without saying that I lost not a single ship and I destroyed it in literally a few seconds. Ngl, it was kind of underwhelming for me :steamsad:
