Synthetic Evolution not working?
I've been playing a game of stellaris as a megacorporation with fanatic materialist/miltarist ethics and have spent the game trying to complete the synthetic evolution ascension perk. So i did and when i finished the research project my 372 pops didn't change into synthetics.

I am running the game in 2.1 with the gigastructures mod, but i see no reason for the mod to conflict with this. Help pls?

No idea. I just did a synthetic evolution last week. Oh. It gives you a special project if I remember?

Edit: Saw you said research project. Hrm.... Select your species and set rights. Will it let you "assimilate?" have a robo configuration set up for your species?

It wont let me assimilate my species because they are not fully organic, they are cyborgs

Oh my... I have no idea then. I am going to assume you have both the ascensions. Wierd thing about mods is that sometimes the programs can act in rather unexpected ways.

There is one thing Ido see for it.

"Using C1CK's Enhanced Robomodding mod, building this mod's megastructures will unlock additional robot traits" So gigastructures could in fact be interacting and have broken something.

If that is the only mod you have, you might want to try in mod discussions or bringing up in the bug reports forum. It could be something unexpected with say 2.1?

Just checking to make sure, but this was the project started after the second synthetic evolution perk right? The first is what turns them into cyborgs; the second turns them into robots.

I'm only asking because the simplest solutions are sometimes the easiest to miss.

Yes the after the second special peoject my pops are already cyborgs from the first ascension perk

yes i did see this and it could be that i would need to also download that mod (robomodding) to make it work again? Anyway thanks for the help

The way I read it is that it unlocks more stuff with that mod. Maybe it is just an oversight in testing vs without. Do you have a save before the ascension project to test to compare?

I have a save before the project completes but not one before i got the ascension perk

The project complete is the important one so that should be good for the test
