Provoking Leviathan

so there is a stellarite destroyer near the border of an empire near me. if i send a weak fleet knowing it will get destroyed will that piss it off so that it start attacking the empire near me so i don't have to go to war with them (to weaken them)? or will it just cut straight through that empire and head towards my territory?
can this apply to other leviathans?

You can purposefully piss of some leviathans in the way your taling about but it is very hard to do and if you don't kill the leviathan it will come after your systems, the Stellarite Devourer and the Ether Drake can both be "ticked off" into seeking revenge, I have used this to kill empires before.

Having forced opened borders from a war that just ended barely in my favor I engaged a Stellarite devourer, injured it to the point it goes "looking for revenge" and then got it to chase me through all that empires systems that had colonized worlds, before reingaging and killing the Stellarite.

so read fromt he wiki an enraged leviathan that dropped down to 80% HP would go attack 2 systems before it heads back home. would that mean 2 of my systems or any 2 systems owned by empires?
and any tips on getting an enraged levhiathan to chase a fleet of yours? like certain strength wise or distance wise for the leviathan to chase it and not just head to somewhere else? because currently in phase of the game where noone i know got over 5k fleet power myself included

5k fleet power is not nearly enough, and you need a ship for it to chase that you can still control while it is in combat, Colossus naturally being the best for this because how tough it is. As for the 2 systems that is how many systems of the individual who made it mad it destroys before it settles back down. Haven't used this method since distant stars however, so maybe it is patched (after all kiting a stellarite through an empire turning ALL of thier planets into molten worlds is a little OP)
