Go to your spaceport and make a shipyard. Spaceports are at the center of the systems (IE, where the star/blackhole is.

You can either use the fleet manager (worth looking up a guide) or just do the above and build them manualy out of the shipyard (once youve built it on an upgraded station)

I recommend getting familiar with the fleet manager and the ship designer. I barely remember when I had to ask for ships to my shipyard manually. However, using the fleet manager you only order ships to the closest shipyard, no matter how small it is, or how long the resulting queue becomes.

When making a large order the manager has used multiple different shipyard system for me.
But it's possible that's due to having a gateway in every shipyard system so they're technically same distance :P

Take into account that your admirals also have a limit they can command. Sometimes you need 2 or 3 fleets, with an admiral each.

I meant a large reinforcement order for a single fleet. Say for example, 100 corvettes (or more).
