Well yes, I know about using the console in single player. Is there a complicated option to start a multiplayer game as a GM style observer? I've only played a couple of games and didn't look too deeply into the options.
So the console is readily available in multiplayer? Or is it only the option to become an observer?
Though that would explain why the YouTuber War always has one AI empire. That would likely be the one ASpec starts with to become an observer.
So unless they used some dev hax to get the console to work in multiplayer they probably had a specific player/computer that was just set to play as the Ether Drake in order to move it around and another normal observer to watch everything else.
country_event = { id = crisis.2000 days = 200 random = 100 }
crisis.2000 is supposed to be the Contingency so loading a multiplayer game as singleplayer and putting that in the console and saving the game, would mean that 200-300 days after they load the save in multiplayer the Contingency event would start.
If they play everything in a long session this is obviously -not- how they did it but if they do save and load the game they either have the dev hax to activate the console in multiplayer or its just some save game magic like the above.
